Proteus was the first story I ever wrote, at least completely. Prior to writing Proteus, the ideas had only been composed in my head, but Proteus more or less demanded it be written down, and eventually turned into a (short) novel length story.
I still like the elements in it, and it will always hold a special place. One of the more amusing elements of Proteus is the idea that the main character, Gertrude/April, is brainwashed, but ultimately ends up with a normal corporate job, with some sexy fun hijinks along the way.
Currently, there is only one volume in Proteus, Corporate Takeover. I had debated trying to publish a sequel, to mixed result. Some of you may have seen Linder Academy, which was ostensibly supposed to be the sequel. I may go back and revive it, but it would take significant changes to make happen. We’ll see, but for now, Corporate Takeover is all there is.
